Touch down in vibrant Seoul and start your creative journey with ease. After an airport transfer, settle into your comfortable hotel in the heart of the city. In the evening, enjoy a warm welcome dinner and icebreaker with your fellow travelers. It’s the perfect start to connect, feel inspired, and get ready for the photo-filled days ahead.
Day 2
Seoul’s Street Life: Palaces, Hanoks, and Market Portraits
Begin your adventure at the majestic Gyeongbokgung Palace, then wander the charming streets of Bukchon Hanok Village. Bukchon Hanok Village boasts centuries of history, visit the traditional hanok houses made of stone, wood, clay and rice paper. There you can photograph Korean women wearing hanbok, the traditional Korean costume. Then dive into the textures and colors of Cheongnyangni Market, a wholesale fruit and vegetable market. This full day of contrasts offers everything from timeless elegance to gritty market life—ideal for street and portrait photographers alike.
Day 3
Modern Seoul in Focus: Skyscrapers, Subcultures, and Hidden Spots
Explore the vibrant contrast of Seoul’s cityscape. Start at the Bangsan Market to catch raw urban life, then move into sleek Gangnam for bold architecture shots. Gangnam is probably the most famous and crazy neighborhood of Seoul. Busy streets, beautiful people, fashion and trends – a paradise for street photography. Photograph the bustle of COEX and frame skyline scenes from the Lotte World Tower. Today you will be impressed by many skyscrapers and capture the liveliness of the youth. In the afternoon, you will set up on floors 117 to 123 of Lotte World Tower, the tallest building in Korea and the 5th in the world. From there, we will enjoy a unique view of Seoul and capture the sunset with our cameras. This day is about light, lines, and life in one of Asia’s most dynamic cities.
Day 4
Lines of Division: The DMZ, History, and Night Perspectives
Exclusive: Today we visit the demilitarized zone on the border with North Korea. Since 1953, Swiss and Swedish officers have been in South Korea as neutral observers. As a former officer, Daniel Thomas Faller has lived and worked in Panmunjeom, Korea for 3 years in the service of the NNSC (Neutral Monitoring Commission). Dive deep into Korea’s history with a powerful visit to the DMZ and Joint Security Area. Frame rare moments and emotional scenes at Camp Greaves. Return to Seoul and capture futuristic architecture at Dongdaemun Design Plaza—designed by Zaha Hadid—glowing in the evening light. A moving and visually rich day that blends meaning and modern design.
Day 5
Path to Stillness: Temple Stay in Mountain Serenity
In the morning we take KTX bullet train from Seoul to Daegu, then travel into the peaceful forests of Gayasan National Park. Around noon we reach Haeinsa Temple. The temple is one of the most important legacies of the country’s Buddhist roots and houses the Tripitaka Koreana, the oldest Buddhist scriptures. The temple is so well embedded in its natural surroundings that it gives the impression that the mountain and the temple are one. Discover the sacred grounds of Haeinsa Temple, known for its centuries-old wooden architecture. Tonight’s temple stay invites you to disconnect, recharge, and capture stunning landscapes and serene temple details in a tranquil setting.
